GREASLEY CASTLE

GREASLEY CASTLE

A fortified manor house, the licence to crennelate being granted in 1340. One piece of wall still stands forming one side of a barn, but there is no trace of the other walls and corner towers which were surrounded by a moat. It is thought it was abandoned in the 17th century.
