An 11th or 12th century motte surviving as an earthwork. The motte has been much mutilated by gravel digging, but had a base diameter of about 80 feet. Its present maximum height is 8 feet. The 30 feet wide ditch and the outer bank remain only on the south east side, elsewhere they have been dug away. The bailey is a level rectangular platform around 45 by 80 feet.
