CHESSINGTON CASTLE HILL

Castle Hill is an earthwork platform 300 feet by 100 feet, defended by a rampart and close to the Hogmill stream. It is now in the middle of woodland. It may be a medieval fortification, but it could also be the remains of a moated farmstead dating from the 13th century.
