Near Llanrhidian are the remains of an Iron Age hillfort which occupies the summit of an isolated ridge running north-west to south-east and which measures about 1000 feet by 350 feet in size. At the south east end is a small ringwork measuring about 120 by 100 feet across, built by the Normans probably in the early 12th century. The site can be accessed through a stile & footpath from the Llanrhidian road at the south end of the hill.
