A 15th century red brick building which consisted of a mansion protected by an outer curtain wall in which was an impressive gateway protected by two adjacent 60 feet high towers either side of it. Much of one tower stands, but there are only foundations left of the curtain wall and internal buildings after the remainder of the house was demolished in 1777.
