OLD WARDOUR CASTLE

It was built in 1393 with a hexagonal curtain wall around an inner courtyard but has been uninhabited since the Civil War when the outer walls were demolished. A replacement mansion house was built nearby in the 18th century.

English Heritage, open summer and weekends.
