SHOBDON COURT CASTLE


SHOBDON COURT CASTLE

A flat top mound, 150 feet in diameter and rising 10-12 feet above the surrounding ground. It was surrounded by a dry ditch with slight traces of an outer bank but the ditch had been filled in. It was probably built in the early twelfth century.
