The site is also known as Swan Tump. Only earthworks remain of Taynton Parva, a flat topped circular motte surrounded by a ditch measuring up to 7m wide with two baileys. The bailey east of the motte contains signs of at least three buildings and the one to the west is smaller but better protected. There is another moated site closeby (lower photos).
